CCH had a mission: to expand their services and create a place where cancer survivors and their family members could connect with one another. They envisioned a place where one could seek support, learn to cope, overcome new challenges, and believe that they can live their lives to the fullest—even after a traumatic cancer event. They sought to build a center that people with unique post-cancer bouts such as body transformations, altered sensations, and altered views on life. They wanted to focus on the recovery, re-acclimation, and new journeys after cancer treatment. From this mission, Coborn Healing Center was created. The plan was to create something funded entirely through philanthropic giving from members in our community. A large addition adjacent to the Coborn Cancer Center was sculpted, combining elements of the original structure, world-renowned spatial studies related to cancer recovery, and consulting recommendations from local survivors and their families. Construction began late in 2017 and was completed at the end of summer 2018.

This project has been extremely influential to our community and BCI was privileged to work on behalf of CentraCare Health. As an expansion of CentraCare’ s services, this project pushes the healthcare directive in central Minnesota even further. It creates sustainable success for CentraCare and services in an area where population health and community wellness had not previously been before.

BCI can help you with your medical space.
