St. Cloud Apollo was in need of a large mechanical upgrade over two (2) summers that included several new air handlers, all of the boilers were replaced as well as the chiller, glycol units, swimming equipment, and almost all of the facility’s ductwork.  One of the largest “summer slams” the state of Minnesota has endorsed, the project’s first summer checked in a just over $10M; almost $1M per week of equipment and man-power. 

The project also included three (3) second floor additions to penthouses to handle much of the new air going into the building.  The competitively bid project had many unique challenges; especially with fall protection.  We are happy to report that the project was a huge success.  For a portion of the project, there was just over 100 people per day working on the project.  We were proud to get the swim team, football team, and all other fall sports access beginning in the third week of August.
