The banking industry has changed.  The amount of FDIC commercial insured banks has gone from 7,870 in the United Stated in 2002, to 4,909 in 2017 according to a 2019 Statista Survey.  Mergers, acquisitions, customer support, and much more has all changed how the consumer experience happens.  SCFCU is on a mission to grow and support their clients through this change.

SCFCU, which began in 1930, has over 20,000 members, many of which already resided in the Sauk Rapids area.  When a development opportunity arose, Ryan Cross approached SCFCU’s President about the possibility of a new location.  This highly trafficked corner had a lot of appeal for potential users and SCFCU immediately identified that they were interested.  After going through many iterations of what could be, the new building was drawn, the space was fit-out, and this beautiful space was created.

Downtown environments can be tricky.  Due to being zoned in the downtown district, the building had to appear to be two (2) stories, had a required zero setback, and parking caused some unique planning.  After working collaboratively with the building owner, the city of Sauk Rapids, SCFCU, and a great architectural team, we were able to build this beautiful new building with a great drive through and open concept bank.

BCI can help you with your institutional space.
