The St. Cloud Times, a Gannett Company, was looking to relocate much of the operations. Primarily, their 60,000 plus square foot facility no longer aligned with the realities of the modern, ever changing newspaper business as printing and logistics is now handled offsite. Also, the environment had to change as reporters rely so much on technology for the sourcing, reporting and delivery of the news.
Working collaboratively again with Inventure Properties, the team was able to identify a 7,500 SF building that would fit their needs really well. Complete with a new, open floor plan, you are immediately met with a traditional, yet modern bullpen right when you walk in full of monitors and computers. Additional exterior windows were added to allow more natural light deeper into the building. A great, open kitchen space capable of housing well over 50 people sits adjacent to the bullpen behind several individual offices. Lastly, a unique gym amenity was placed in for the employees.
This was a fun project with great clients and tenants. It had a goal of being simple, financially considerate, and efficient workspace. We feel all goals were met and all parties were extremely proud of the project!
