In 2022, BCI Construction assisted a new building owner in Downtown St. Cloud with the acquisition of the historic Federal Building in downtown St. Cloud.  BCI had completed a historic rehabilitation on the facility several years prior and was now prepared to bring ArcaSearch into downtown St. Cloud.  A little over one (1) year later, the additional space ArcaSearch amassed with their acquisition was able to land a key lease with the MN Public Defender’s office.

 

Utilizing a local grant, plus the National Park Service and State Historic Preservations Office’s program (NPS & SHPO), the facility went through a historic rehabilitation that included several upgrades and replacements of key facility equipment.  The spaces natural light was restored, terrazzo refinished, and the now multi-tenanted space went from almost no one in the facility to full in just under two (2) years.  BCI is extremely proud of the client, the tenants, and downtown St. Cloud as the space consists of art and great architecture right in the heart of our community.  

 

This project is a great example in how all teams can collaboratively “win” together as the entire team pooled their skills and resources together to deliver a great project, and investment, into the client’s portfolio while housing their business for years to come.
