The Southwest West Central Learning Cooperative (SWWC) has been building a network of facilities offering ELC and ALC solutions across the southwestern portion of the state to serve students with unique needs. These impactful programs consider the logistics of the students and their providers for services offered at the schools to transportation to and from. These facilities attempt to bring as much of the educational experience under one (1) roof and serve students in one (1) day. Non-traditional students possess a plethora of unique needs that differ from many traditional student needs; thus, facilities are different in their consideration and offering of space.

The newest facility in SWWC’s offering is Marshall, which is the result of a strategic partnership with the City of Marshal and their EDA. Jobs are important to Marshall and the SWWC Cooperative was able to deliver real opportunities and jobs to the community through their services. The result is a brand-new facility designed to support SWWC’s growing operations, accommodating over 55 staff members and includes conference rooms, a spacious staff breakroom and kitchen, dedicated workrooms, and ample storage. The facility strengthens SWWC’s ability to deliver essential educational and technology services to more than 50 school districts across southwest Minnesota.

This is one (1) of many times BCI has been able to support SWWC in their strategic mission. We have previously served this in New London, Montevideo, Cosmos, and Windom, and are currently gearing up for a major renovation in Pipestone. They have a new corporate center that we have participated in to help house them deep into the future.
