Team Results

International based, trailer manufacturer Edmonton Trailer expanded operations into Minnesota to diversify their business. They purchased an existing 30,000+ SF building in Sartell. The building was a former storage facility, which was not being utilized as the (former) Verso Paper Mill closed their facility.

Edmonton Trailer specialized in heavy-haul and oversized trailer systems having gained expertise in the mining business in Canada. Working closely with BCI Construction, the facility quickly went from a simple warehouse to regional offices and a manufacturing facility which included overhead cranes, overhead door openings, heavy mechanical systems, and much more. The site was reshaped to better support products entering and existing the facility while the business plan ultimately failed due to legislative changes around imports/exports, the project had many successes. This project introduced several team members on the internal crane processes, planning and got BCI into manufacturing. We also supported Edmonton Trailer through JCF (Job Creation Funds) collaborator actively with the GSDC & MN DEED.

. . . Our decision to contract with BCI was a great choice. We were kept updated with site meetings and daily reports, including pictures. This communication tool was so helpful to us to see the progress and share it with our team in Edmonton, Canada. We did not have to worry, knowing they paid great attention to the details. . .
